Thank you Melissa!! I really appreciate your quick and elaborate answer:)!!!!

It was very helpful:) one last question is..do you use the Les 16 Precieux oil during the day along with the Sangdu dragan to get the humectant content?

I have been using Aloevera , saffron, sandalwood, turmeric ayurvedic gels these days during day time before I apply any emollient/oils. and that's been helping me a lot...I noticed when I apply the oils liberally at night with the gels, I do not breakout.

Also observed, that the sun and the heat, temperature make a huge difference during the day (relative to where we live and our weather conditions).

A few natural skin care gurus or brand owners advised me saying it's okay to breakout when using oils and that the skin is detoxing, and trust me ..I never had hormonal acne my entire 37 yrs of life and now I learnt experientially what acne prone skin means:). In fact, my experience taught me that even the non-comodogenic oils are still oils and can roast the face with pimples and bumps when out in the sun if used more than needed and without a good layer of humectant.

But if the serum or oil has been formulated with good dosage of humectants it really helps in balancing out and releasing the heat that's a double bonus!!!

I realized that my face does not need any or more oil but otherwise a very good humectant based product to keep the hydration level up since I tend to sweat and my face already produces enough natural oils. So, using 3 pumps or 6 drops of oil or oil based serums as a standard suggested dosage can do wonders one person and make them a beauty and can really turn another into a beast:)

Sorry for the long story, but wanted share my experience and it was quite a learning curve and now I'm healing my breakouts by using oils mostly at nights and a very tiny amount during the day just to seal in the moisture with my beloved Aloe vera....

Thank you so much!!!!!!

Hi, Satya! Thank you so much for stopping by and for sharing this thoughtful question. You could definitely use Sang du Dragon and Sublime Balm together at night; Sublime Balm is especially great to apply at night because you wake up to softer skin. I find Sang du Dragon to be skin-plumping and hydrating (and it includes the humectant glycerine towards the front end of the ingredient list); I think you could probably get sufficient humectants from Sag du to be able to enjoy a drop or two of Les 16 Precieux (the oil) without too much worry about breakouts. Les 16 Precieux is formulated to have low comedogenicity, and I have been able to enjoy it without breaking out despite having a tendency toward acne. I should mention that Sang du Dragon delivers its most dramatic results when it comes to healing---whether the issue is redness, inflammation, scarring, acne, etc. It's a brilliant serum for troubled skin and is great for those of us who are acne-prone. Someone whose skin is already flawless could use it, but s/he wouldn't be able to fully appreciate all it does. :) I hope this is helpful! If you have any more questions, please feel free to get in touch again. Thanks for commenting!

I would like to the if the serum and balm are to used at night? I experience breakouts if I use more than one drop of oil during day and I need to use humectants like aloevera or gels before using the oils. Does the dragon oil and serum have enough humectants ? I did see the ingredients list but just wanted to check with you .... thank you so much!!!!
